| Description | The first theatre built to function as one in South-Eastern Europe, inaugurated on the 1st of July 1817. The building, with a semi-circular hall and boxes on the first and upper floor, was designed by architect Ion Niuny; interior facilities after the model of the Vienna Burgtheater; storeys and casino halls were added in 1838, and in 1893 was entirely restored. |
